A 26-year-old woman identified as Arianna Bosney, also known by loved ones as “Ari,” has sadly lost her life after a tragic shooting in Chicago on Monday evening, October 27th, 2025.
The Incident
According to the Chicago Police Department (CPD), the incident happened around 4:48 p.m. near 76th Street and Vincennes Avenue. Officers rushed to the scene after receiving calls about a person shot inside a parked car.
When police arrived, they found Arianna in the driver’s seat of a black 2014 Chevy Cruze. She had suffered multiple injuries and was quickly taken to the University of Chicago Hospital
Unfortunately, doctors later pronounced her dead.
What Police Say Happened
Investigators believe Arianna was sitting at a red light when another car pulled up beside her.
Someone inside that car opened fire before speeding away.
At this time, no suspects are in custody. Detectives from the Area 6 Division are leading the investigation. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at (312) 745-3610 or send an anonymous tip to CPDTIP.COM.
