18-Year-Old Logan Thomas Killed in Highway 80 Crash

An 18-year-old man from East Prairie, Missouri, lost his life in a tragic car crash on December 5, 2024.

The accident occurred at 7:40 p.m. on Highway 80, just outside the East Prairie city limits, as confirmed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Logan Thomas was driving a 2002 Honda Accord eastbound when the vehicle veered off the left side of the road and hit a tree.

The car was completely destroyed and had to be removed by JSH Towing.

Authorities confirmed that Logan was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Mississippi County Coroner Terry Parker pronounced him dead at the scene at 10:33 p.m.

Trooper J. E. Williams responded to the accident with assistance from Corporal R. W. Eakins. This incident marks the 66th fatality recorded by Troop E in 2024.
