Rapper JAY-Z, while speaking on Radio 1’s Live Lounge Month, referred to the American president Donald Trump as a joke.
He was asked by host Clara Amfo how it is bringing up a black family in America and he said:
I’m looking at him [Donald Trump] thinking “this is a joke.”
With all… I can’t even say with all due respect. With all disrespect I just think he’s just not a very sophisticated man.
He did say, continuing, that he isn’t fearful, and black America has weathered more than Trump and survived. He said:
I believe everything happens in life is for the greater good.
I don’t think this would be happening if we weren’t prepared to handle it.
I’m looking forward to what’s next after this.
Usually when things are darkest, light is on it’s way.
I’m not fearful, I believe that we’re resilient.
Especially us, as black people, us as a culture – we’ve been through so much more than this guy [Donald Trump].
Until everyone is free, no-one is free.
