Shatta Wale would soon be dragged to court again and forced to pay €50,000 to a Ghanaian event company known as 5K productions in Norway for canceling his Europe tour which has caused a financial loss to the company.
According to the organizers, they had a contract with Shatta Wale to perform in Sweden as part of his European tour in October but Wale canceled the show at the very last minute without any ‘tangible’ reason.
The organizers said that they invested money in the show, by renting a venue, spending on publicity and other expenses but Shatta Wale refused to come and only refunded the money that they paid him to perform.
So the reason why they have decided to take him to court is that he has refused to compensate them for other costs they incurred aside the cost of paying him and all efforts to get him to pay has failed, so going to court is their only solution now
The CEO of 5k Productions, Daniel Ashitey Quaye in an interview with Nii Attractive (Mustapha Nii Okai Inusah,) Ghanacreativearts.com, told the site that other production houses and event organizers in the other countries that are linked to the organization of the European tour project are in support of the court action.
